The film “Honor The Treaties” is the story of National Geographic photographer Aaron Huey’s work on the Pine Ridge Reservation featuring artist Shepard Fairey and directed by Eric Becker. Huey has been photographing the Oglala Sioux Indians on the Pine Ridge Reservation for the last seven years.
As Huey steps out of his role as journalist, he refers to the reservation as an example of what happens to a POW camp when the guards leave. It is a moving and disturbing portrait.
Thanks to April for liking this on FB which brought it to my attention. Image from the film which is up on Reelhouse.org.
