This will be your last chance this year to catch Loversville. Tonight from 8 to 10pm at the Commercial Taphouse.

I will try and drag these old tired bones out and visit.

Maybe see you there.

Christmas Videos Just For You!

Posted in Film with tags on December 24, 2012 by kozmicdogz

For your Christmas viewing pleasure, if you aren’t sick of them already, here are three more Christmas Videos:

The Insects’ Christmas (1913) “Rozhdestvo obitateley lesa” (Wladyslaw Starewicz)

“It’s A Bad Brains Christmas, Charlie Brown”

Dropkick Murphys: “The Season’s Upon Us”

Thanks to friends, Boing Boing and Dangerous Minds for sharing these gems.

Be careful out there driving on this Christmas eve.

Thank You, Ralph White!

Ralph White, manager of the James River Park System for 30 years retired yesterday. A wonderful man, neighbor, and advocate for the James River, which is just about my favorite place in the world. Take care, Ralph.

Here is a nice article in the RTD by Rex Springson, another article in Style, and a link to the Friends of the James River Park.

Here are some of my more recent James River photos.

Here is a nice article in the RTD by Bill Lohmann about Richmond musician and guitar maker, Tommy Rodriguez. Rodriguez’s guitars will be on display at the Science Museum as a part of an exhibit: “GUITAR: The Instrument That Rocked The World,” through January 6th.
