Cheetah the star of many Tarzan movies along with Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O’Sullivan has gone to the great big banana boat in the sky.
Cheetah was 80 years old and passed away in Florida after retiring from films years ago.
When will it ever end?
I was in love with Laura Nyro‘s voice and her songs as a young man. I was fortunate to see her in person in D.C. many years ago with my brother and was in awe.

Jeremy Slayton has an good article in the Richmond Times Dispatch today about the great theatre fire of 1811. The theatre fire took place 200 years ago on December 26, 1811 at the corner of 12th and E. Broad Streets. Slayton interviews local historians about the fire, aftermath, and how the event effected Richmond.
Many of the 72 victims are buried in the crypt beneath Monumental Church which was built at the site of the tragedy.
