Family Thanksgiving - late 1940s - All Rights Reserved

Thanksgiving Day. This was before I was born, probably around the time my parents were married in the mid to late 1940s. Pictured are my grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, and my mother’s cousins.

I hope you get to spend time with your family, if not today sometime during the holiday season.

48 Years Ago Today

Posted in Politics with tags , on November 22, 2011 by kozmicdogz

48 years ago today on November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas.

For those of us who were alive that day in 1963, it is a day that we will never forget. Memories of school teachers crying, leaving school early, then throw in seeing Lee Harvey Oswald being shot on live TV, and the funeral procession to Arlington Cemetery with the constant drum beat, and little John John’s salute, it was a time that lives on in memory.
