James River Shorts – November 15th

On Friday Nov 15th at 6:30 – 9pm you can see the 2013 James River Shorts Juried Competition Finalists at the VMFA where Filmmaker/educator David Ellsworth will judge and award about $2000 in cash prizes.

Saturday, November 16, 2013, 6:30 pm at The Visual Arts Center of Richmond, 1812 W Main Street, Richmond, Virginia 23220 – David Ellsworth is a documentary and experimental filmmaker whose work has screened at a variety of festivals nationally (Black Maria, Full Frame,Margaret Mead) and abroad (Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Havana, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo). Dave is currently working on a documentary about vernacular architecture in Louisa County, Virginia and editing an experimental documentary on life in Farmville, Virginia. He teaches at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. – $3 Admission (includes James RiverFilm Forum @ 8pm)
